The well-maintained family home comes furnished, which means you’ll have to bring kitchen necessities, bed linen and towels.

Remarkably, every room has a sea view, even the bathroom. The front bedroom looks straight over the sea, and the sound of small waves lapping over the rocks is nothing short of magical.

Although built on a cliff, the property eases gently onto a private beach of only five houses – the best of both worlds, especially for whale watching.

The three bedrooms – two queen, one double – all have ocean views.

A new large Smeg gas/electric stove forms the heart of the generous eat-in kitchen with walk-in pantry, while the dining/living room is epic in proportion, and looks out to the sea.

This large colonial timber extravagance has verandahs on three sides, all roofed, one glassed-in, which cool the inside of the house and provide plenty of space for relaxing in any weather.

The house is air-conditioned, although the owners rarely use it because the south-easterly breezes provide their own.

Although only 15 minutes from Mackay city heart, this home is extraordinarily private, having ocean on one side, reserve on the south, and the nearest neighbour well up the hill.

An outside shower with hot and cold water is a bonus beside the sea, and underneath the house is ample space for two cars, a lockable storage room, and laundry with heavy duty washer. Mowing is provided for the large yard.

The owners use the house from mid-December to mid-January, but tenants, who like the owners, love the place, often come back after the break for six, or eleven months, and sometimes years!
